It be! I've got one busy week between a two-week break and being 75 percent finished with nursing school. This semester has been mostly fantastic -- everything has been interesting, I've found myself actually putting things together from past classes and making sense of being a nurse.
And, despite taking mental health, pediatrics and OB I do not feel like a crazy pregnant kid. I feel like a pretty well-prepared nurse-to-be.
This week is a little nuts:
- Three final exams.
- One paper due (which is a group paper -- groan! It's turned into Mandasaurus vs. Passive-Voice-Classmate!).
- Practicing blood draws on my classmates during OB clinical! Finally get to learn how to do this!
- Mental health clinical at a children's mental health unit -- really weird.
- Pediatrics regular clinical (fantastic!) - it's my favorite.
- Studying, studying, studying.
- Making dinners and lunches with our awesome produce -- though I cannot possibly keep up with these cucumbers. Menu includes tacos with coleslaw, summer squash mess, and potato leek soup.
- Seeing my dad on Friday -- after my finals and his Cubs game with his high school pals.
- Attending a rooftop party downtown by the lake for an end-of-semester celebration on Saturday! Excited for some fun with school friends and toasting to another semester done.
Mandasaurus can study anywhere. Even at a Cubs game. This is from B's birthday and I didn't study much, but I was glad I brought my notes along nonetheless.
