Settling into school

Nursing school has been great and incredibly overwhelming. I feel more assured that this is the right direction for me and that Loyola's accelerated program will be a good fit for us.

I'll admit that my to-do list is a mile long. I've got no idea how to organize all these calendars with assignments, projects, skills labs, papers and exams.

I finally settled on a notebook system -- a big notebook for the two big classes (Pathophysiology and Foundations), a 3-subject notebook for the less intense classes (Nutrition, Wellness & Community Health, and Intro to Professional Nursing) and an old legal pad for my research course, which is almost completely online.

My uniform, stethoscope and sphygmomanometer (BP cuff) arrived today.

We're settling into school life at home too. I take the train with B in the mornings, we pack lunches after dinnertime and this weekend we've got big plans to stock the fridge with even more goodies for school/work.
Now, time to study!

The photo here is not snakes, but purple green beans (they turn green when you cook them). We tossed those in tonight's stirfry. Delicious.
